Who we are

What information we handle

Depending on how you get in touch, we may see your name, phone number, the location of the job, details of the work you need, and any photos or drawings you send us. If you email us, we hold your email address and the content of your messages. If you call or message us, we hold your number and the conversation that follows.

One thing worth knowing: the quick-quote form on this website doesn't send us anything by itself. It opens WhatsApp on your own phone or computer with your details written into a message. Nothing leaves your device until you press send in WhatsApp — the choice is always yours.

How we use your information

We use it to quote your job, contact you about it, arrange and carry out the work, and keep a record of the work we've done. That's it. We don't add you to marketing lists, and we don't sell or pass on your details to anyone for their own use.

Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interests in running the business — responding to enquiries, quoting and carrying out work — and, once a job is agreed, the contract between us to deliver it. If we ever wanted to use your details for anything else, we'd ask you first.

Analytics and cookies

This website does not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, remarketing tags or social media tracking pixels. Our hosting platform records basic, anonymous usage statistics — such as which pages are viewed and what type of device is used — so we can see the site is working and which pages are most useful. The platform may also use essential cookies needed to keep the site running and secure. Because there is no non-essential tracking on this website, you won't see a cookie consent banner. How we look after it

Your details sit in our business WhatsApp, phone and email accounts, which are protected by those providers' account security and only accessible to the people here who need them to quote and carry out your job. We're sensible about it, but like any business we can't promise a system is completely beyond all risk — if something ever went wrong, we'd tell you and deal with it properly.

Where your information sits, and who can see it

Messages and photos you send reach our business WhatsApp, phone and email accounts, where they're only seen by the people who need them to quote and carry out your job. To be clear about third parties: WhatsApp is operated by Meta and your email is carried by your email provider, so those companies process your messages as needed to deliver them — under their own terms. Some of those services may process data outside the UK.

How long we keep it

For as long as we need it to quote, arrange and carry out your job — and afterwards for reasonable business record-keeping. If you ask us to delete your details, we will, unless we're required to keep them for legal reasons such as tax records.

Your rights

Under data protection law you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us keeping it. Just email cruzup.info@gmail.com and we'll sort it out. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
